Whereas you can contract a vocal instructor and enjoy New York singing lessons where you live, you can also enjoy online singing lessons. So, what advantages can you have with online voice lessons? Easy, contracting a vocal coach in New York costs a lot of money. A voice instructor can definitely charge an hourly wage. That is much more expensive than online course. You have to ask, is it worth it to try online courses?

1. It should include audio-visual components. Audio-visual instructions should be seen and heard. To get a better practice experience the MP3s should have complementary video. All the samples you need to hear should be in the audio. It should be downloadable to your computer and must not have restrictive digital rights management (DRM). When there are new versions, your files should be allowed to update.
2. There should also be a Portable Document Format (PDF) of all the documents that you can print out and read later. You should get new versions for these files.

5. The vocal techniques and music theory of the online singing lesson course should be sound. For this, you have to do your due diligence and research about the topic.
Of course, the biggest advantage of having an online singing course is the fact that you can go through it again and again. Without paying you can’t repeat the lessons from a vocal coach. This is not to say that vocal instructor are not important enough, because they are.
